1. Data controller

The data controller for the Qubit Service (qubit.qcomply.tech) is the entity providing the Service. Contact: [email protected].

2. What data we collect

For registration and login we collect: the generated user nickname and a hash of the password. In the demo version we also store symmetric keys associated with communication channels (for demo purposes only). The server stores encrypted message content; it cannot be read by the administrator.

3. Purpose and legal basis

Data is processed to provide the messenger service, perform the contract (registration, login, storage of encrypted messages) and, where applicable, to pursue the controller’s legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention).

4. Retention

Account data (nickname, password hash) is retained until the user deletes the account or the service is discontinued. Encrypted messages are retained until delivery and in accordance with retention policy. In the demo version, keys may be stored in the database until the channel is closed.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase (“right to be forgotten”), restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].

6. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect data (including password hashing, client-side encryption of content). Message content is never known to the server in plain form.

7. Policy changes

The privacy policy may be updated. We will notify you of material changes via the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
